NEW DESIGN AFTER 10 YEARS!
We were so excited and honored to be a part of this redesign. Softshell Design crafted a fun, yet professional custom design for TATE’S Comics website refreshing their brand and modernizing the web experience. The new site design features the commissioned artwork created for the comic store over the years – giving visitors a taste of the unique and special culture of this geek mecca megastore.

An essential part to TATE’S refreshed brand is the custom artwork commissioned from local artists through the years.
The culture of TATE’s revolves around the community and its patrons. TATE’s considers its customers in all aspects of the business, whether it be the comics and toys they bring in, galleries they exhibit or events they host.
Artists from South Florida have worked with TATE’S to provide custom illustrations and graphics for t-shirts, patches, posters, marketing materials and more. The local creatives are a huge part of TATE’s culture, which made it a no-brainer to include this art throughout the site.

Our goal with the TATE’S Comics website is to bring people into the store. The marketing components work to tease and entice the viewer into visiting the brick and mortar location.
Heaps of archives help to show visitors the longstanding reputation of TATE’S. These archives tell the history of the store and its events as well as highlighting the local regulars and celebrities that frequent the store. Awards and Press mentions speak for themselves.
TATE’S Staff work hard to update the site every week to showcase the New & Notable Comics and Staff Picks. This fresh content exhibits the breadth of comics + toys on the shelves.

Linking to a SquareSpace shop was the easiest way for TATE’S to sell their gift certificates and give their customers a safe/trusted payment gateway.

Mad Mimi allows TATE’S to create weekly newsletters that notify subscribers of sales, promotion, events, comics and new toys in stock.
Avada Forms
The Avada theme offers form functionality out-of-the-box. This enables TATE’S to have a repository of all submissions within the WordPress admin.
